For manufacturers and suppliers

Connect your SDS library once. Keep it current without uploading by hand.

Most manufacturers start by sending a link to their SDS library or a batch of PDFs. If you'd rather your own systems keep SupplySafe up to date, there are two ways to connect. The product feed needs no coding. The API is available on request while we work with the first manufacturers using it.

No coding

Product feed

Give us a spreadsheet or a list of URLs for your SDS, kept wherever you already keep it. We check it every week and pick up what changed.

  • One line per product: product name, product code and the link to the current SDS PDF.
  • A new link or a new PDF at the same link is picked up as a new revision.

If you can keep a spreadsheet up to date, you can use the feed.

On request

API

For manufacturers who want their own systems to send SDS to SupplySafe directly. The feed can also work from an export of your ERP or PIM product list. The API is not self-serve yet: tell us what you want to connect and we'll set you up and share the documentation.

  • Send a new SDS, or a new revision of an existing one, matched by your product code.
  • List your products and the status of each SDS: published, being checked, or needing your attention.
  • Withdraw a product you no longer supply.
  • Optionally, get a webhook call when an SDS is published or needs your attention.

The same checks apply, however an SDS arrives

Every SDS from a feed or the API goes through the same checks as one uploaded by hand: product, revision, issue and revision dates, the Australian contact and emergency number are read from the PDF and checked before it is published. Anything unclear is confirmed by a person. The PDF is never edited.

Once published, a new revision reaches every register that holds the product, as it does today.

Security

  • Each company gets its own keys.
  • A key can only see and change your own company's products.
  • Every change made through a feed or the API is written to your audit log, like any other change.

Request API access

Tell us what you'd like to connect. We'll reply by email to talk it through. This opens an email to hello@supplysafe.com.au in your email app; nothing is sent until you press send.

Get sorted. Start with one site, or one SDS library.

Workshops: set up a register on your phone in a few minutes. Manufacturers and suppliers: publish your SDS once, free.
