For manufacturers, importers and brand owners
Free SDS management: your current SDS in every workshop that holds it.
SupplySafe is free safety data sheet management and distribution for Australian manufacturers and importers. Give us your SDS (formerly MSDS) once: every workshop register that lists your product opens your current revision, and when you revise, the new one reaches all of them at once. No more re-sending sheets to every customer, and fewer calls asking for one.
What does it cost? Nothing.
Not now, not later. Manufacturers, importers, brand owners and suppliers use SupplySafe free, forever. Workshops pay for their managed register. That's the whole model, and it's why we never need to charge you.
What does SupplySafe do for you?
- We check and publish
- Send a link to your SDS library or a batch of PDFs. We check each one against the document: product name, revision number, issue and revision dates, Australian contact and emergency number. Then we publish it, marked "Checked by SupplySafe". You can mark any SDS as verified by you, or hide it from the public list, at any time. We never edit your PDF, and we never write or change SDS content.
- Your current SDS reaches the workshops that hold your product
- A workshop adds your product to its register once. From then on its register and QR poster always open your current published revision.
- Revisions reach every register at once
- Send us the new revision. Once it's published, every register that holds the product shows it and flags it for review. The previous revision stays in the history.
- Fewer SDS requests
- Every workshop on SupplySafe already has your current SDS one tap away, so there is less reason to ring or email you for one.
- Notices go to the contacts you choose
- Nominate a primary contact and up to five more people or addresses for SDS notices. A role inbox such as sds@ means staff changes don't break the chain.
What is your SDS duty, and how does this help?
Under the model Work Health and Safety Regulations, a manufacturer or importer of a hazardous chemical must:
- prepare an SDS before first manufacturing or importing it, or as soon as practicable after and before first supplying it to a workplace (reg 330(1));
- review the SDS at least once every five years, and amend it whenever necessary so it contains correct and current information (reg 330(3));
- provide the current SDS to anyone likely to be affected by the chemical who asks for it (reg 330(4)).
Workplaces, for their part, must obtain the current SDS when a chemical is first supplied and again after it is amended, keep it readily accessible, and keep a hazardous chemicals register that includes the current SDS (regs 344 and 346).
SupplySafe is a way to deliver your current SDS to the workplaces that need it, and to keep it current there. It does not take over your duty, change your SDS, or certify that an SDS complies. Victoria has its own OHS Regulations 2017 with equivalent duties, including review at least every five years.
Workplace exposure limits replace the old exposure standards on 1 December 2026. If that change means you revise SDS, SupplySafe gets each new revision into workshop registers once, rather than you re-sending it to every customer.

You won't see who holds your products, and nor will anyone else.
The register belongs to the workshop. You will never see which workshops have your products, or how many. Your competitors can't see your customers through SupplySafe either. That is built into the database, not just the screens.
How long does it take to start? About 15 minutes of your time

Questions manufacturers ask
- Is SupplySafe SDS management software? Does it replace the software we use to write our SDS?
- SupplySafe manages the distribution side: it checks and publishes your SDS and keeps your current revision in every workshop register that lists your product. It doesn't write or edit SDS, so keep whatever authoring tool you use. We need only the published PDFs.
- What's the catch?
- There isn't one, honestly. Workshops pay for their register. Manufacturers are free because your current SDS is what makes the register worth having.
- Will you change our SDS?
- No. We never edit the PDF. We read it to record the product name, revision and dates, and we publish the document you issued.
- What does "Checked by SupplySafe" mean?
- That we have confirmed the document's identity against the PDF: product, revision, dates, Australian contact and emergency number. It is not a statement that the SDS complies with any regulation. Only you can mark an SDS as verified by the manufacturer.
- Can we take an SDS down?
- Yes. You can hide any SDS from the public list at any time. Workshops that already hold the product keep access to the last published revision, because removing a safety document from a workplace that relies on it is the wrong default.
- Who sees our contact details?
- Your business details from Section 1 of the SDS are already public on the document. We keep the contacts you nominate for SDS notices. We don't store personal phone numbers or staff names beyond the people who hold accounts.
Send us your SDS library. It's free.
A link or a batch of PDFs is enough. We do the loading and checking.
